Places I have been published
Welcome to my online portfolio! I have collected many of my published and unpublished works here and my CV is available upon request. Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries about anything I’ve written or (hopefully!) for any job opportunities that you think I may be suited for.
I am currently editor of Synced magazine, a publication for tuned-in students who take time out of their busy schedules to relax with a humorous, light-hearted perspective on the world. Based in London, it covers a range of the latest viral, social and pop cultural topics and is the ultimate trending guide for the clever young professional.
Irish Tatler magazine
I wrote full time for this magazine from June – August 2014. I was responsible for cultural, business and lifestyle sections in the magazine including Short and Sweet, Notes to Self, The Notebook, Shelf Life, Women in Business and The Exchange. Other work included transcribing notes, communicating with PR companies and dealing with press releases.
I had work experience for 1 month in July 2012 where I shadowed a court reporter. I wrote articles about court hearings in the town and also a series of Leaving Certificate related stories.
I was the co-editor of this student magazine from November 2013 to March 2014. I set the magazine up as an extracurricular with a classmate of mine and it ran for 5 issues.
This is a website chronicling the hole-in-the-wall areas of Dublin, whether places to eat, drink or sight-see, which was created by myself and a classmate of mine. We also have an Instagram page linked to the site and it is quite popular with over 250 followers.
I wrote for this online magazine-site for over 8 months from September 2013 – May 2014. I completed a diverse range of articles including particularly popular ones such as Domestic Violence: Male Victims and The 5 Worst Reasons for Opposing Gay Marriage.
